Special Powers:

Thanks to the genetic modifications done to his DNA, Coyote possesses enhanced strength, speed, agility, reflexes, and endurance.  He can also heal from broken bones and other injuries in a matter of seconds unless weapons made from adamant or the white light of creation cause the wounds.  

    

Special Abilities:

Lilith taught Coyote many skills including magic and the dark arts.  Under her tutelage, he has become a very powerful shaman. 

         

Special Weapons: 

Coyote carries a wooded rod.  The object is capable of harnessing his power and directing blasts of energy at his enemies.

Biography:

One day during her travels, Lilith came across a feral coyote picking at the bare bones of a dead bird.  Proud of the reptilian assassin she created for her consort, the fallen angel Satanael many years prior, and wanting a powerful one-of-a-kind pet for her own amusement, Lilith took possession of the mangy animal. 

​

Over the course of a few months, she tortured the filthy mutt until its spirit was broken.  When it finally obeyed her every command, she went about the process of bestowing intelligence and insight upon the animal.  She then turned it into a humanoid figure.  Soon after her pet learned how to read, write, and speak.  She then taught it dark magic. 

 

Many centuries would pass until this creature had mastered what Lilith had taught.  When her pet was finally worthy, she gave him a name.  Known as Coyote going forth, she sent this creature out into the world to torture the human race.  To make his master proud, this evil shaman used the full might of his powers to become a bane to humanity.  He eventually settled in the Southwest portion of the United States.  In the lands of the four corners of Colorado, Utah, Arizona, and New Mexico, he sought to create a magnificent kingdom, but first, he had to exterminate the indigenous people who would not bow down to him.  With the power of the dark arts at his command, Coyote created an army of humanoid and animal hybrid creatures that he unleashed upon the Dine' Tah, the traditional home of the Navajo people.

Many brutal battles took place over the ensuing years as the Navajo fought off the oppressive force trying to exterminate their race.  Tired of these creatures killing their people, especially the women, and children, the elder warriors of the Dine' Tah, along with the few remaining shamans devised a plan to defeat Coyote. 

 

According to legend, they called upon the holy wind to send them a worthy champion with supernatural gifts who was powerful enough to fight the evil horde invading their land.  Before the holy wind would oblige, he asked for a deserving vessel to empower.  In return, the Navajo created a competition consisting of twelve tasks that their most ardent warriors had to complete.  Fifty Navajo warriors competed and when James Nayenezgani was declared the winner, a portal to the spirit realm opened.  A flash of light as bright as the sun blinded everyone and when their vision returned, the holy wind had whisked this champion away.

The next time Coyote and his hybrid forces attacked the Navajo, a portal to the spirit realm opened once more.  This time, however, the holy wind was not present.  Instead, James Nayenezgani returned.  Imbued with the power of a god, he led his people into battle.  In possession of spirit realm weapons, he attacked the enemy with his full fury.  In a display of might, he cut through the hybrid creatures until he reached Coyote.  Locked in combat, the two battled for what seemed like an eternity.  When the morning sun rose over the mountains, it became apparent to all who were watching in awe that Coyote was overmatched.  Unable to keep up with the ferocity James Nayenezgani displayed, the evil hybrid shaman was disarmed of his staff.  The weaponless coward begged for mercy but received none in return.  In an utter display of brutality, James Nayenezgani then used his fists to beat Coyote to a bloody pulp.

 

Before James Nayenezgani could deliver the killing blow, the remaining hybrid creatures rushed the mountain.  They managed to pull Coyote away from their enemy and quickly fled the Dine' Tah in defeat.  When word reached Lilith of her prized pet's near demise, she made sure he would have proper bodyguards going forth.  She traveled to the hell dimension and asked the Devil to loan her two very specific vampires she had seen in combat many years before. 

 

In addition to the vampire sisters, who would act as his protectors, Lilith helped Coyote bolster his forces with a stronger breed of hybrid creatures.  Along with the hybrid spider people, fish people, bat people, hawk people, and wolf people he had already created, she supplied his hybrid army with additional reinforcements such as:

The Dee' Lgeed:

An antelope hybrid creature.

The Tse' Ninahaleeh:

An eagle hybrid creature.

​

The Yeit' Soh:

A bear hybrid creature.

​

The Spider Grandmother:

She was a huge arachnid hybrid creature that stood twenty feet in height.  This hideous beast had the body of a spider and the face of an old Navajo woman.

With his army swelling in rank, the vile monstrosity known as Coyote continued to wage war on the Navajo people.  However, not any kind of conflict would do.  Since he lacked feelings or remorse, Lilith's prized pet waged a campaign of psychological warfare on his enemies.  Not only did his evil forces abduct many children and women from their tribes during nightly raids, but by morning, they also crucified some of those prisoners as punishment for the Navajo's reluctance to accept Coyote as their king. Those not hanging from a cross for all to see were taken back to Coyote's cave.  There he hung the decapitated corpses of the Navajo babies by their feet.  For many years, they dangled upside down like chandeliers and paintings on a wall.  To further mock and punish his enemies, he even reanimated the dead Navajo children that his creatures had slaughtered and kept them as servants.  For the women kept alive, Coyote retained a good number of them for himself and they became his harem of sexual slaves.  Those he did not find appealing were shared equally amongst his creatures. 

 

One night, the Navajo planned a raid of their own.  Led by James Nayenezgani, a group of Navajo warriors snuck into Coyote's lair.  During this sneak attack, they were aided by a person their champion had met by chance.  With common goals aligned, and because this individual also had enhanced abilities, they brokered a tentative pact.  Together, they slaughtered many creatures as they slept.  They then sealed off all the exit points found throughout the mountain range and set a massive fire within its caverns. 

 

For three days the cave of Coyote burned.  The Navajo warriors waiting outside quickly killed any creature who managed to escape the inferno.  Able to traverse the fiery caverns, and unaffected by the smoke filling their lungs, James Nayenezgani and his enhanced accomplice continued to hunt down Coyote.  Although they could not kill the wicked shaman, or his vampire bodyguards, who managed to escape their vengeance by fleeing through a portal, they did slay the Spider Grandmother.  Over the following weeks, they killed the rest of the hybrid creatures still roaming the land.   

 

Since his defeat, Coyote has yet to return to the Dine' Tah.  Currently, his whereabouts and those of his vampire guardians are unknown, but the ravens he uses as spies, still fly high above the land.
